Why?, to introduce even more signal noise if you use a cheap one. And to spend more cash. OP you can go both ways with it. Add a loc or your the speaker wire input on the amp

You could always take the deck to your local electronics repair shop and have them solder in a set of RCA's off the preamp...
Better?
