Default edelbrock manifold help!

I just got finsihed with the install of my new edelbrock intake manifold. everything went fine except for a solid CEl (p28 on s200) the real problem is that on the stock itr manifold there are 2 ports, one for a coolant line that comes from the Fast Idle Thermo Valve under the T/b. the edelbrock only has one port leaving me with no wear to go but to plug it with a screw, and let it leak coolant for the time being.
How can i re route this line and get the CEL off?>

First off, you need to check your code (search archives for the procedure, or use the Helms) and report back with what item the ECU is reporting as a problem.

As for the line, how about putting in a T to run two lines on the single port? Hopefully someone else will chime in with how they handled it.

I know how to check the 2 pin with speaker wire or a paper clip but i canot find it in this car for the life of me. (99 si with 98 b18c5 on p28)
Ill try a t fitting. the idle is also fluxing sumtimes high then normal.

I won't guess at the code, but the fluxing/high idle sounds like the ECU is thinking it's in cold temp mode all the time, because the sensor is not getting coolant. I am surprised that someone else running the Edelbrock has not chimed in on how they handled the plumbing yet.

Go back and check the recent posts on the ITR board for 'intake' - there was a thread on mani's that included the Edelbrock recently. Maybe you can PM one of the other posters, and get some info on their plumbing more quickly.

Either way, a bump for j00.

You might of knocked the plug loose. Check the VSS which is located on your tranny, make sure the sensor plug is securely connected and that the contacts are clean and not filled with corrosion.

I looked at the vss and the plug today, both seemed dirty with coolant around so i cleaned them a few times with brake clean then dried with comp air and then air dry and im still getting a code and fluxing idle.

Hope you are running high compression and some good cams or you are going to lose power with that manifold

I am still getting code one. I think i am going to just replace th o2 sensor as it is fairly old and im going to need to pass smog pretty soon. i know to stay away from bosch and go with a denso, but are all the 02 sensors for hondas the same or do i need to ask for one for a type r or an si?

What is the best way to go about diagnosing and fixing an o2 sensor problem? what kind of voltage should i be getting from it with a multi-meter? also my exhaust is completly broke off right before the pass rear tire, about 2 feet from the test pipe.
