B16B Idle Problem!! Help me.
I just finished swaping my B16B into my VX. I cannot get the car to idle when I have the EVAP solonoid connected. There is a a vaccum port on the back right (facing car) side of the intake manifold. I have a vaccum line running from this to the bottom of the EVAP. Another vaccum line runs from the other side of the EVAP to the charcoal canister. With this setup, the car will not idle at all. Just quits. When unhook the EVAP by unplugging the vaccum line from the back of the intake manifold, the car idles fine. Basically, I'm leaving the port on the manifold completely open to draw vaccum. I have heard that my P-28 ECU will not read the EVAP, but I have no idea what to with the open vaccum port. If I plug it, the car does not idle. What should I do? Help!

i would think that the air turbulence/pressure would be too high in the intake tube....i would just create a small sturdy screen and let the vacuum do all the work

LOL. i have a b16b and this is the exact same problem that i still have. i've done everything from running a small hose with some filter element cut out from a stock filter and zip tied to it- to opening up the throttle plate to let air in. did you get your idle air control valve to work? i still can't get mine to work. idle isn't the b16b's friend. i think i need a kit kat right now.
