Default Pioneer/Samsung Bluetooth Issue

Recently installed Pioneer avh-p7800dvd w/cd btb100. I have a brand new Samsung M-500 cell and am having issues connecting with head unit. Old Samsung had the same problem (everyone elses phone I tried had no problem communicating so I figured it was my phone and replaced!) Still having communication failure between the two! Has anyone experienced the same and does anyone know how the hell to fix it? I bought the bluetooth unit off of e-bay and failed to read the fine print........it was refurbished....could this be my problem? Thanks for all the help and info in advance!

no there is probably nothing wrong with the blutooth unit, there is something you can try but you will have issues in the future unless you change from a samsung(korean phone really poor quality bluetooth circuit)ive done tons of blutooth installs trying to use samsung phones, here is what you do,now this is a top secret hack, dont tell anybody k?pull the battery cover off your phone pull battery out for a minute or two,put batt. back in put cover back on it will probably work now,(jus kidding about the top secret hack thinggy),seriously though it should work but for how long,i dont know, ive had several customers just switch phones, take the phone back to your supplier and tell him(if it is under warranty)that the blutooth is not working correctly, and you would like to change phones, you may have to be persistant about it

We have this issue daily. Bluetooth is still a really sketchy technology. There are several versions and they aren't bothering with backwards compatibility.
