what can cause smoke coming out my dip stick is it that i was running to much boost, didnt have a catch can, did'nt have a slow down valve on my oil line, what most likely was the problem? i just want to know so i dont make the same mistake twice and before i put turbo on my car i asked around and nobody ever said anything about the things i just mentioned above. if any one can help me let me know. thanks.(what's the safest way to run my turbo?)

 

blown rings will cause excessive blow by like that. All of those things you mentioned are not needed. The problem was caused by either to much boost, or running to lean. Since Ive seen stock motor that can easily handle 13 psi of boost with the proper tuning Im' going to that say that you were just running to lean. how much were you boosting and what was your fuel setup?
