Last night I re- installed my factory injectors to fix an over rich problem i had (running RC 310) and i re did all my vaccuum lines and installed my boost controller.

Anyways the car ran great then as i adjusted the boost controller then went for a test run. obviously i turned the boost too high and when i floored it the boost guage hit 15psi for a second then the car let out a huge black cloud out the exhaust and it felt like i hit a brick wall.

i let off as soon as i saw the overboost and the smoke went away instantly. nothing seems wrong and the car still drives fine with no apparent problems or noise.

now, is there something i shoud be looking for (besides an electronic boost controller?) currently its running at 10 psi.

is my headgasket toast?

 

whoa... thats a close call there, man. i was thinkin you might have blown something. run a compression check and see what you get across the board.

 

I hate doing compression tests.... its like waiting to see if your dearly loved cat or dog has cancer......

 

If you're running at normal vacuum (22-18in hg) at idle, doesn't that mean that you're good?

 

yah, i have good vaccuum -18hg. Am I ok?
