Obd2,but 1 good thing it isn't as restrictive as the 98+ obd2 models.

In 98 they revised the 0bd2 ecu making it more restrictive.

the only thing bad about that is if the rest of the cities in texas follow suit with houston, as far as emissions tests are concerned.

all OBD2 cars (96+) get a diagnostic check, no tailpipe test. all 95 and older cars have to get on the chassis dyno and do the emissions test under load.

if you don't have your OBD2 computer, you can't have the diagnostic, so they will put you on the dyno.

just something to keep in mind, if what they are doing in houston spreads to the rest of texas.

Houston and Dallas are going to have strict emissions guidlines for cars registered in the city. Last I heard Houston was talking about going to a 55mph speedlimit for the whole city to reduce polution.

I don't think the rules will spread to the rest of Texas for a long time.
