Default nos octane booster?

alright so i had a discussion with my friend when we were reading super street and we saw nos octane booster, it said it helped for forced induction and high compression. he tried claiming his stock ls with ihe got power from it. he also tried saying his engine was high compression and i said no. high compression is like over 11:1. so whats your guy's view on octane booster?

My view... This is a dumb question.

Octane booster is crap. Whatever you buy it as, is what it is (89,91,92,c15, ect.) Plus they say it raises your octane 5 points... and in the small print it says 5 points=.5 of an upgrade.

ex. 91+.5=91.5, not 96.

Generally anything about 10:1 is high I think.

octane booster is crap. raising your octane 0.1 - 0.5 octane is going to do nothing. your friend who thinks he gained power from it is just in denial about wasting his money.

"Pour the choice of the pros! Nitrous Oxide Systems Octane Booster is specially formulated for racing vehicles. Increases octane effect as much as 3 points. Restores lost horsepower, improves gas mileage, eliminates knocks, pings, and hesitation, and protects against buildup. "The Original Horsepower in a Bottle!" One bottle treats up to 16 gallons of gas."

3 points is "as much as" 0.3 octane....and this is the street formula. The "racing" formula boasts of increasing octane "as much as" 7 points and its even more money. all of them are a WASTE OF MONEY.

HaHaHa Ocatane boosters they dont work. I would rather add a galon of 110Octane race gas for the same $5-6 that you would pay on one of the on the shelf kinds.
