hey all, my gsr is idling at 2000+ at random times. this only seems to happen if i let it ride in gear and after i step on the clutch. it'll go back down sometimes after i rev it a little or come to a complete stop. i checked for vacuum leaks, but i don't see any and i cleaned the iacv 10 times. what could be the problem? please help i need to state ref this crap soon!

i searched and found nothing relevant that helped.

 

check the fit valve below the throttle body. there is a sheet metal cap on one end held in with 2 small bolts. the other end has hoses. take the sheet metal end off and you will see a doughnut shaped white plastic piece with 2 slots in it. tighten that down, if it is loose it will cause a surging idle that gets worse as gets looser.
