Default CHECKING THE ECU CODES

How can i check the ECU engine codes on a 2001 Honda civic?

I found this info but i think its for an earlier model.

This has been answered before. Just take it to your nearest Autozone or PepBoys. They can pull the codes for free.

Hello mate

Thanks for the info.

I tried Pep boys and they wanted $100 to check the code ! Autozone did it for free!

They plugged int he machine and it showed a P1361 code, something to do with the engine managment system.

But after he unplugged the reader, the CEL went off!

Just checked the code and its the TDC sensor.

yeah, there's an option within the reader to clear codes, he must've done it. next time it goes on, if it does, you know exactly what to do .

pepboys wanted $100?! what a joke. the code reader costs around 150 or so. thank you for not paying. lol
