I small turbo that creates boost at low rpms or a BOV that the valve opens very easily.

maybe a 2 stage rev limiter so you can build boost

Someone once told me that only internally wastegated cars blow off at idle. Not sure if that is correct, but that is what i was told.

generally that may be correct because internal gated turbos are on the smaller side. but its not the internal gate that makes them blow off at idle its the fact they they are small. i doubt you would see anything larger than a gt28 with an internal gate. i guess ive seen some gt3071's with internal gates but thats about it.

Try reving to the moon and see if your BOV will go off... Either way, why do you want the BOV to go off reving in neutral? To sound cool?

Isn't that the whole purpose of a BOV??

Try a smaller turbo...or

he wants the bov to open when he is not in gear its not what i wanted its what he wants

he needs to build boost when not in gear and a rev limiter will work for that

I know, I was actually talking to him. I knew what you meant...after I posted it I said to myself ( I bet aarontrini85 is going to think I"m talking to him)
Sorry for the confusion
I was saying try a smaller turbo or your suggestion...but why would you need it to open in neutral anyway

Your BOV will make noise when reving, your just not reving it high enough. You need to rev it to redline for a couple minutes. Then it'll make noise
