Default Old Laptop plus free time = odd questions

Was reading around and am starting to get interested in some ecu work. But I wondered about something and I know this is completely out there but here it goes. Is there software out that I can install on my laptop to hook up to the ecu to see speedometer readings and tach readings and other vital information about the engine. Not looking to tune just yet but curious if I can get info out about the engine. It would be a 90 auto d15b2 ecu. Or do they have anything for this ecu?

Bump. My biggest question is if there is any software out there that can give you a digital picture of a speedometer or tach and show what it truly is as well as air/fuel and other stuff. I'm not looking at tuning at all. PGMFI just doesn't have anything that goes with what I'm asking.

Dont assume it's automatically rice. 17 year old gauges are gettin old and mine in particular are not working the best. I'm simply bored and want to hook up the ecu and see what info I can get out of it.

Funny, I went there and got some software there that I could plug my laptop into the ECU and it'd show me what the ECU was reading in real time... Are you willing to do the work required or do you want it wrapped up in a bow, if so, PGMFI isnt for you, go to a tuner and drop a wad on the counter.

PSST ecu control

yea pgmfi is probably the best place to get anything related to honda ecu's. But it takes a lot of research to understand what the hell they're talking about usually lol.
