Guys, my 2001 ITR which idled normally at 750-1000RPMs all the time is now occasionally idling at 450RPMs. This happens particularly when its hot outside, for instance, if I park the car at work and use it to go and get lunch when its hot outside. The dealer says its normal but I don't quite agree. Any suggestions ??

I've seen no problems myself either and yes, my R has gone as low as 200RPMs at times. Its just weird. This is my 3rd DC2 (I had two non-VTEC Integras before the R) and those had a very steady idle.

 

i had the same problem too... my volt guage will go to 12v and the idle will drop to 400-500 and as i drive for a while when my voltage goes up to like 13-14v my idle will go back to 750-850-..hope tis is normal too...i havent found the problem yet...hope its not something major...

 

Mine idles really low and stalled numerous times at the drag strip the other day but I have a Hondata that's obviously not working correctly.

 

my car idle low too, but after some hard driving, the car idle at 1000rpm? any reason why?

 

My 98 Type R does the exact same thing as iperez's. Only when it's hot outside. It has also cut off on me before, usually once when driving the car right after it's warmed up, after that it doesnt stall again. Any ideas anyone? It always starts back up and runs great when on throttle so I don't really worry about it.

 

idle jumps from 1000-750-1000. i hear the fan go on when it happens. I think its when the AC or the radio are on...maybe.

 

Idle stays around 500. But when I puit my lights on it goes back to to normal. SO i just drive around with my lights on all day like a ricer Untill I can figure out whats wrong with it
