Oversized Injector Question

Default Oversized Injector Question

i have a 00 si b16a2. and im planning on buying 310cc injectors but im worried maybe too much. do the injectors only use as much fuel as they need or are they set at a certain point? will i overfuel? have minor bolt ons Skunk2 manifold 66 mm throttle body. borla cat back k&n intake magnecor wires iridium plugs any help would be appreciated

unless the ecu is tuned for those particular injectors it will run rich

why do you need bigger injectors? stock 240cc's are good up to 190whp, sometimes more.

310cc seems kind of overkill for the motor unless you are running boost, or a very built (all) motor. Since you have an aftermaket Manifold, and arent boosted, the stock 240cc injectors would work just fine, although i have read that people have had success using 270cc injectors with aftermarket manifolds. As stated before, the stock 240cc ones will do just fine for up to around 200hp.

well my car is running like crap and when i did the manifold the injectors were pretty dirty car has 110k on it. so i figured screw it might as well replace them. another question does anyone know where the hell the timing jumper is on the ek? all the info i can find is for eg's

Yep I was the April winner and holy ****. Those guys are good. Came back looking new and had a weekend at the spa.
2 of mine were real bad and 1 didn't make it back all the way I think it ended up at 238.
Good enough for me. Unless you can get RC's 310 for 150.00 shipped new then not a good deal for right now.

well my car is my only means of transportation i cant send my injectors away even for a couple days. thx for the info tho maybe ill see if i can find some new oem injectors.

Or just find a spare set and send them off for cleaning and then install and send old set off for cleaning for a ready to go backup.
