4 days after installing my Race headers check engine light came on

Default 4 days after installing my Race headers check engine light came on

4 days after i installed my Race header, engine light came on...i wonder what could possibly cause this...could it be my secondary o2 sensor since the catalytic converter is gone or could it be somethin else??? please help...

Errr... yeah. That would probably be it. Pull the code and I bet it's catalyst efficiency code. Have you tried a defouler on the SECONDARY o2 yet?

nah..not exactly...alot of people are sayin that i should get an o2 stimulator or spacer or whatever...now will that actually work?

The defouler is a spacer. The o2 sims work as well -- at least I've seen them work fine, but the defouler is a lot cheaper and can be had at any auto parts store and works pretty darn good from what I've heard.

you need a defouler in the second o2 spot. costs 4.00 and will save you from the CEL.

I bought the SSR race header and it came with a defouler and a test pipe and i had no check engine light it's prolly been on for about a month now. I also put on a cat back exhaust and still i have no light. So i would get a defouler disconnect your battery for about 10 minutes and see if you have the same problem.
