look guys i just installed mu b16a sir2 on my 94 civic..i used the stock wire hardness off my car everything works good my vtec works and everything but the rev goes up to 7,000rpm could it be that my tach is wrong or something else..oh and i have cel on..just srs light but i dont think that the promblem let me know if u could help me thanks
Just to verify, are you saying that according to your tach, the rev limiter is activating at 7000 RPMs?
I'm going to take a shot in the dark.....
The factory tachometer is not accurate, mainly in the high rpms. Add age on top of the gauge and it varies even more.
The stock rev limit on a P30 is 8200 RPMs if my memory serves me correctly. At least for my P30 which is the infamous JDM
I don't remember if there is a difference between USDM and JDM as far as thats concerned.
