Re: b16a redline?
yea...8200...just dont get overboard...just because you have an 8200 redline doesnt mean you have to peg it all the time....take a look at your powerband and see where the power dips off and shift there

Are we talking about where the fuel cut is? Or where the gauge dips into the red? Some people get terms mixed up a bit and end up getting the wrong info.

Re: b16a redline?
what about the rev limiter on a b16a2?
my ecu is a chipped p28 with no rev limiter.
I shift between 7500-8000 if im running hard, but never take it over 8.

Re: b16a redline?
It would be the same as a B16A since the valvetrain is the same, all that's different are the cams. So 8400-8500.

Re: b16a redline?
Take it to 9k foo, your b16a head is safe till 8500 then you have to worry about valve float, if yours is a b16a obd0 with the 10.2.1 compression your straight till 9k even to 9500 if you got ballz, but transmission won't deliver past 8500 unless you have a s4c which delivers till 9200rpm
b16/b17 is 8200
b18c is 8100
b18c5 is 8600
b16b is 8900
b16/b17 is 8200
b18c is 8100
b18c5 is 8600
b16b is 8900

Re: b16a redline?
Dam, Well you better be carefull when your racing, All it takes is one missed shift and you floor the gas for the next gear but it don't go into gear and it rev's to 10K and drop a valve into the combustion chamber or maybe something worse. so take those shift slow and careful.
