This guy is selling a Black Honda Accord 2000 ex v6 for 5500 but the check engine light is on and the code is p1456. Should i buy this car or not?? give me details thanks guys.

Take it to Honda for a PrePurchase Inspection ($90)

Run a carfax, etc

 

ok but is 5500 low for a 2000 coupe ex v6? with 118,000 miles?

 

damn, i think that is a damn good deal imo.

 

Not necessarily low depending on the condition of stuff, I would say that it's throwing a code is reason for the price to be lower.

Has it had major maintenence done? etc?

 

P1456 is EVAP control system leak.
Could be as simple as a gas cap problem or it could be a bad vent valve

yea check out the transmission. when i got my EX my transmission was bad at 60,000 miles and Honda put a new one in. Best check it out if it is throwing codes, but that is a decent price if everything is good I would say.
