Default B18B Auto Trans Good Idea?

I have a 93 honda civic dx hatchback with an auto trans, and im planning on swapping a complete B18B Ls Auto Engine, do i need different mounts? axles? etc? or what else do i need to complete the swap?

i choose B18B Because its cheap and its auto. and im just going to turbo it after the swap. is this a good idea? or theres better suggestions? let me know thanks!

If you're looking for performance there's no better upgrade than switching to a manual. Especially in a honda.

Get the Ls motor, mate it with a gsr/b16/itr transmission and you'll be very pleased with your daily driving experience.

A manual tranny can easily shave 1+ seconds of your 1/4 mile in a street car.

The auto honda tranny's were never even considered in line for any kind of performance.

You'll be much happier with a 5spd in any performance car.

It's impossible to answer that.

Tell your brother to learn how to drive a stick. He'll thank us once he does.

That's real. Force a 5spd on him, he'll learn if he wants to drive. As for the power of it, I'd suggest a well-geared transmission with just the LS/VTEC, and you'll have plenty of power. Then you can turbo it if you feel you need more.

One step at a time, but the first step should be going MANUAL!
