Keep the F22, its a way more of a better candidate for boosting out of the H series engines because it lacks FRM sleeves like the H series have. That means you can throw forged pistons in there without having to get the block sleeved. Great boost engine.

I am an H series ***** by nature.....but really like the idea of Budget Boost setups!
for a single cam sucking boost!!
Start small and work your way up......not sure if the F22 pistons suffer the ring land downfalls of its H brother. I would boost the stock motor and throw together a built one on the side. You can find people practically giving them away to clear sapce in their shop.
Do I remember seeing 15psi on stock sleeves somewhere???
Those heads also have tons of potential to flow crazy!
You could always cheap out on the bottome end and spend money on the headwork which is where the power lies.....

I would go higher than that!
I always say to start small so you can enjoy the power progression. Whats more fun? start at 5psi....enjoy.....bump to 7psi....enjoy....bump to 10psi.....
Or boost 10psi right away and get bored with it.....
More power is just a dial and tune away....

Hell yeh! Another turbo f22!!

I'm running about 8-9psi right now, and I've had it for over a year now and it still runs great.

F22s can take a lot of boost on a stock engine. They can take up to 10 psi, but can go up to 15 psi if you replace the headstuds. I've got an F22 I'm piecing together a turbo for. I'm planning on running 9 psi daily until I replace the headstuds.

F22 turbo FTW.
