Default Odyssey PC680 not holding charge nemore :(

yesterday i left my dome light on, and this morning it was dead...

NOW
my odyssey battery doesn't hold 12V when i try to crank, and doesn't even attempt to crank it... if i jump it, it drives fine, and its always around 14.0-14.5 volts (RSM)

any way to save the battery?

its only 1 year old!! WTF

You need to get a charger that's made for AGM batteries. I use a Battery Tender. It's a slow charger, so you'll need to let it charge overnight.

a slow charge is the best way to charge it. The battery will absord the charge better. Think of it as a gentle shower for a long period vs a downpour for an hour. The water from the gentle shower will be absorbed better by the ground. So yea thats ur best bet to try that first. If that doesnt work then your gonna need another battery.

Yeah, charge it up overnight or longer...those things usually last about 2 years.

The battery in my 98 is dead too. It says Honda on it, so I dunno if it's the original or the previous owner actually blew some $$ at the stealer. Won't start of a jump.. shot? Dash lights, ecu, etc turn on but won't crank at all.

It sounds very shot, especially if the CEL and oil lights, etc., all dim a whole lot when trying to crank it.
