I drive it for a few hours, runs fine... I then beggin to drive home and the car revs up and dies down, 3-4 times before it stalls out completly. Temp guage goes from cold to hot in a few seconds. I finally got it started again after about 15 min. Get to the bottom of my road and the car dies again. Same thing happens again. I checked the coolant lvel last night it was low so i put sme in this morning. i let it idle for about 20 min ran fine. I get ready to head to work and it stalls out again. What do i do? what do i check? please help!!

 

so your car's temp guage indicator on your hud doesn't ever go to Red though right? it stays at the second incriment half way across the digital screen?

 

the temp gauge goes almost up to red but doesnt get there. I meant to add in the orig post that its got an AEM cold air intake.

 

what kind of car is it? model year etc etc. cai doesn't really help with anything

 

its a 1998 honda prelude with the H22

recall... i just bought the car a few days ago. what is the recall and how can i tell if it is done?

 

if its unmodded bring it to honda. certain models of your car have ignition recalls and replace fault parts free of charge. Your cai might cause problems????? or maybe not. but if so go buy stock air box and take it to honda. ask around about cai and voiding recalls
