my friend has one.. and he got the a oil restrictor for it to.. hes been boosting it on 16 pounds for over a year now and it works that same as it was brand new..

i have no complaints about them.. but if you get dont get a oil restrictor you can kiss the seals good by..

+1 on the oil restrictor.
My integra had one of those kits, pulled extremely hard on 7psi but the seals were gone. I think you will be happy.

I could be at a stop, put my car in 2nd gear, rev it to 5k, drop the clutch and bake the 17x7s up my street.

I too have checked into the ebay turbo kits. Haven't heard anything negative from some people that have purchased. Guess we will both be testing the waters.

if you havent heard anything negative about ebay turbo's and turbo kits you're not even trying to search. look in the forced induction forum and you'll find plenty.

i've heard 50/50 on these kits. for some it ran fine and they are satified.. for others, it didnt. but i think if you arent gonna be doing any full race application, i think they are good enough.

I have no idea where this minority of pple who think the ebay turbo systems are good came from - but they're by FAR a minority.

The ebay turbos suck - welds crack way too easy - I've never been dumb enough to buy them but I've seen PLENTY of people who have had them fail - turbos seize up, manis crack, etc.

Piece together a real turbo and don't worry about it .

Yeah, i think everyone is gonna have an opinion from an experience or from something they've heard from a friend of a friend and so on, ya know. I only know like 3 people that have bought the turbos on ebay and they haven't had any problems. They don't race everything that stops next to them and only run 7-10 psi so I don't know. I swapped in an LS motor 2 yrs ago and have always wanted to turbo but just never got around to it. I figure I'm gonna get a kit for around $1000 and get a good tune and fuel management and see what happens. If worse case senerio happens, I do have my tacoma to fall back on. I agree though, if you are planning on racing it every day then stay away from the ebay turbos. Good luck man.

Used to be I heard alot of complaints...... long ago

Now a have a few friends with them... one did I think 12.3 on his. One guy has about 8k on it with no problems.

I am planning on getting one with the mindset that I will get something better later... but my friends started the same way... and are still using the SSAC stuff.

PM a1320honda and tell him I sent you... he will give an honest opinion and has has had it for a while

from the posts I've read on HT, you should avoid the Ebay turbo kits. The shiny, stainless steel kits have been known to just crap out on you.

And you def don't want that. or do you?!
