Default o2 Sensor Problem???

Ok Guys once again the CEL's are coming back...this time its the o2 sensor and for some reason the vtec pressure? anyways im not woried much about the CEL 22 Vtec cuz im pretty sure i know whats wrong with that...but about the o2 sensor...lately the CELs been coming on and i suspect the sensors is now bad. not sure though??? I just need to know if when the sensor goes out will the CEL come right on? The way i thought it worked was as soon as it warmed up to temp it would Throw the code but this one is warming up and then after about 30 mins of driving it will come on and if i reset it it will wait another 30 mins...the sensor is a 4 wire conversion if that helps and my cars been a little rich lately as well. Thats what makes me think its gone out...Thanks for any help

Yes, the PCM will try to get a reading from it in closed loop, but that is only if your light on the throttle. 25% or more throttle with jump the PCM to a rich/low timing map which ignores the O2 signal all together. If the sensor had a defective circuit, it would say so. Some times it takes many full driving cycles to set off a CEL.
