i have an eclipse 12" dual coil subwoofer. i think the box is a bit less then 1 cubic feet. this box might be smaller then what im suppose to use. just i need the trunk space.

And at the same time it restricts the movement of (limited due to the small box) air inside the box leading to the sub running hotter.

the polyester fibers that make up the polyfill kinda "trick" the sub into thinking it's in a bigger box because the fibers help to absorb and dissipate heat within the enclosure.

it's a give-and-take
