internal build suggestions
hey when i get home from iraq in 2 months im going to be starting a big build on my del sol... right now i have a b18c swap and im leaning towards the peakboost kit over the fullrace kit because i dont plan on going over 400whp on this build... i plan on doing rods, pistons, valve springs and retainers. so far on my list the price parts to prices i have found is the super-tech springs and retainers for 295 and rods and pistons combo for 750.... i also plan on getting a seal replacement kit from honda... does anyone else have any recommendations for my build? keep in my mind im going for 400 whp daily driven... thanks gents
i would say sleeve your block just to be safe, get it blueprinted and balanced. make sure you get a good tuner too when it's all together. you could port and polish your head also.
400whp is too much for a daily driver. You've obviously never driven a 400whp front-drive Honda or you'd be much more rational with your goals. If I were you, I'd do all the forged internals, skip the headwork (you don't need it) and run a boost controller with a high and low setting. Hit about 270whp on the low setting and have some race gas and slicks available for the drag strip where you can move into 400whp on the high setting.
Good luck.
Good luck.
you dont need c16 for a daily to get 270 whp dip expletive, 6 dollars a gallon is too expensive . head work helps get it easier, and so does the tricks that a repueatble machine shop will teach you that you can do with a dremel at home lol
wtf is up with these honda tech kids that have all stock cars suggesting higher ups wtf to do lmao ek forever kid and this guy whit jis 200k civic si

i was thinking about doing a moates 2 timer and doing a 9 psi fuel map and a 14 psi fuel map. my question was more about what internals should i go with... would rods pistons and valvetrain be enough or will the gsr sleeves by reliable for daily driving.... atleast at more of a 300 whp number...
