does bov blow off with boost leaking like crazy?
installed my greddy kit on the d16z6 hatch and cant figure out whats going on
the kit wont build over 1-2 psi
I even removed the vacuum from the wg and still 1-2 psi is all it will go and thats at around 4000 rpm
the thing thats weird is the bov sounds off medium loud
I had a boost leak on my other hatch years ago and the bov didnt sound at all when the charge pipes were leaky
I went back and tightened all the clamps from intercooler to turbo and to throttle body
is it possible the wastegate is faulty or something?
IM supposed to get tuned wthis saturday maybe he can figure it out on the dyno

my tial will blow off without ANY boost at all... when im at like 5-10 vacuum and let off, it will still blow off...
the closer i get to the boost, the louder it gets, obviously...
but thats still not saying much for you if you have a big boost leak.. just thought i would mention it

It sounds off because the turbo is still flowing air when the tb plate is closed, and air will prefer to exit via the bov rather than pass back into the fmic and past blades moving well over 40k rpm. My type-r bov will sound in low vacuum when I'm a mid to high rpm.
It sounds like you have a vacuum leak, and most likely its between the turbo and tb (assuming your idle is fine). It could also be a wg actuator arm thats not adjusted right, as they can be turned out to the point of always being opened. It should have some preload on it, meaning if you jiggle the the flapper arm, it should not move at all.
