Default is it possible to change an engines ODB?

My question is this I have blown my motor, And am trying to get a new one but cant find any ODB2 motors. Is it possible for me to say take an ODB1 Ls motor and make it ODB2 with all the extra sensors and everything? So it can run on an ODB2 ECU without throwing any codes?

are your replacing a ls motor with a ls?.. if so putting a obd-1 motor in your car will be easy.. just use the obd-2 harrness on the obd-1 motor.. the sensors sould all be the same.. use the obd-2 injector and obd-2 dizzy...

if you are replacing a dseries obd-2 with a b series obd-1 motor its alittle harder because sensors on the 2 motor are in different locations and some are different.

even if you want to put a obd-1 motor in you car and run a obd-1 ecu... you must wire it up as a obd-2 motor and use a jumper harness to convert to obd-1..

Well no not really I blew a d16y7 in my CX but would perfer to go with the LS swap now that I want than wasting more money on the new replacement D. Its a 96 CX so its ODB2a I believe, They test the plugin at the inspection station so it needs to be ODB2 but if i can get a LS thats ODB1 put it in so i can drive and gradually convert it before I have to go back through inspection would make my life alot easier. I would also have more power which is what I want its either that or go to a junk yard and try to find a vtec D thats ODB2 which is like impossible around here.
