eclipse turbo and trottle body
I heard that the Eclipe throttle body and turbo bolt straight into my 95 ex, is this true? If it is has anyone heard any complains or compliments on the modification?
DSM means Diamond(mitsubishi) Star(Chrysler) Motors. In other words, a DSM is a Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse or a Plymough Lazer.
CYL head is short for Cylinder Head.
Bascially, what he is saying is, you need the turbo manifold from an Eclipse, Talon or Lazer and the turbo. I havent heard too much about this set up myself, but I believe that you need to make your own downpipe, as the DSM one is routed diffrently to my understanding. If this is the case, I would also try to find a scrap DSM downpipe for the purpose or reusing the flange, to fab up your own DP.

Andryzzle is right. The DSM manifold will not work on the 5th gens but will on the 4th. Honda changed the ports on the from looking like 0-0-0-0 to looking like 0--0-0--0 so the manifold will not line up. Check out homemadeturbo.com if you want to learn alot about making your own kit.

I used to own one of these hunks of junk so I can comment on the exhaust. The downpipe bolts straight to the cat (they were also only OBD1 so only 1 oxygen sensor on the manifold). It will require some customizing for sure.
I will never own another DSM/Mitsubishi!!! I love Honda that much more because they don't force you to buy specialized tools. Furthermore the hydraulic timing belt tensioner was prone to spontaneous and disastrous leaks (I did two valve jobs but for other reasons)
For 7-8 lbs of boost I couldn't imagine that much...the turbo is itty bitty so not much volume. The eclipse was a 2.0 DOHC I believe with same internals for turbo and non. It only gave you I want to say 30 horsepower (stock anyways)...I forget exactly. IMO its not worth all the work. If you're gonna do a turbo setup do it right. Besides...do you really want a turbo who's bearings are 15 some years old?
