Tire shop removed my bumpstops when installing springs/shocks??? Help
I had my tokico springs and illumina's installed today. For some reason they didn't put the bumpstops in, none, zero. I provided them with some bump stops off a Koni Yellow set and when I noticed they didn't install them they said they weren't needed. I told them if the car bottoms out it'll destroy something without the bumpstops. They said the aftermarket spring/shock will never bottom out.
Needless to say, I've always read you absolutely need bumpstops, although trimming may be required when going from OEM to aftermarket suspension. The reasons are obvious. Am I missing something here? They said I could come back and they would put them in if I wanted, and I'm thinking I want.
Please proffer your opinion. I think the chance of me bottoming out is slim, but it only takes once, and this is SoCal, land of culverts and canyons at intersections.
Thanks!

Dont forget rubber feels better than metal thats what they are there for.
Dont go to that shop for any more work.

either take it back to the shop and tell them you want the bumpstops put on, or go somewhere else and have them install them, and take the 1st place to small claims for the amount you were charged plus court fees
