New swap, need help.
Car: 94 Cx
Motor: b16a OBD1 w/ the cx engine harness
Ecu: p30
Problem: The car starts and runs perfect, but after its warm i get a check engine light. My first thought was the 02 sensor. I wired the heater wires and signal wires from the 02 sensor directly to the ecu and i wired the ground to the tranny ground. I tried switching the heater wires around, but no luck.. Could it be the ground? I cannot check the code because it goes away after i turn the car off and back to the on position.
It also hits the rev limiter at 6.8-7k when its supposed to be 8.2K, could the cel be causeing this? Thanks

IM getting a knock sensor #23 cel. i have a p30 but im still reving out 8500. So maybe its a knock sensor. Ive heard of this thing called limp mode. I think it means whenever you get a cel. your car doesnt perform as good.

yeah, sounds like your wiring is to blame here. Diagnosing here is difficult, just get a Helm's diagram and wire accordingly. Your rev limit would be the result of the code..yes.

Knock code will disable vtec after a short period due to limp mode....fix the code.

If you are in limp mode you are not going to rev past 4500 as for the problem with it not running right after its warm, im kinda stuped too. I have a friend that if he leaves his windows up and its hot out, his car won't start, but if you roll down his windows and let the ecu cool down it starts fine???
