Default HELP! Have to hold the pedal down to keep the 92 CX running.

I have a 92 CX w/ a d15b8 motor. The car sat in my yard for about a year, and it ran before that. When I went to start it after a year, I had constantly hold down the gas pedal to keep it from dying while I was driving it to another location.

I decided to start it again after a week, and I still had to hold the pedal down for a couple of minutes while parked. I let go of the pedal after the couple minutes, and decided to let it warm up before I drove it again. I left the car for a couple of minutes to work on something else, and it decided to die on me. It hasn't started since then. The car cranks, but doesn't start. Has anyone experienced this? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

Try adjusting the idle at the throttle cable.

Have you cleaned the usualls? FITV, IACV, throttle body?

New gas wouldn't hurt either.
