Default car only runswhen push started

I was driving my car when it just died on me. It was still running but when i pushed the gas pedal it would just kinda die out and when I came to a stop it died and would not start again. I checked for fuel and its getting plenty. I checked for spark and it wasnt appearing to get any. but when i was towing it home I put it in gear and let out the clutch it started up and ran just fine but when I pushed the gas pedal it died out on me again. I have no idea what could cause this.

setup:
95 civic cx
d16y7
po5 ecu chipped and converted running crome
cx tranny

possible fuel filter/pump or distributor. one of those parts still works but is very weak... so you get some, but not the correct amount.

the motor cranks just fine, it doesnt appear to be getting spark, i replaced the alternator, and checked the main relay, both seem to be good. all the fuses are good as well. I think it might be the ignitor but those are expensive as hell.

It doesn't appear to be getting spark or it isn't? Take the car out of gear. Unplug the injectors. Pull the spark plug wires and stick a spark plug in them. Ground the spark plug and turn the car over. Are you getting spark?

Check your TPS sensor.

it does sound like a coil problem usually when coils go out the car turns off running and when ignitors go bad once you turn the car off it wont start
