Default are del sol lcas suppose to be bent?

are del sol lcas suppose to be bent? i just bought a sol and started to replace the exhaust, then i saw that the lca was bent. it's weird cause it's bent the same way on both sides? car rode fine and straight the whole way home. i'm just wondering if they came like that from the factory?

Obviously this is one of those instances in which pictures are mandatory. Are LCAs "bent" from the factory? Not destructively, no, but they have some curve to them in certain parts. We can't tell which kind of "bend" you speak of with the information you've given. Typical.

My guess is that no, they're not damaged, and that you have a lot more reading to do before you start trying to put a B16 in your car, as all Honda noobs inevitably do.

(civic/delsol LCAs have a curve in them by design)
I've long thought that it's for crumple with a side impact. I can't think of any other reason for it.

ITR rear sway, the beaks kit may be ok (depending on your spring rate) but the ASR brace would be a lot better.
As far as I know, the civic and delsol subframes are the same as far as thickness.

no no no! Civic LCA's (5th gen) DO NOT have the bend in them. I posted up some rear disc brake swap info not too long ago, with pics.

The del sol's have a curve, the civic ones do not. I assume it is to clearance for a sway bar. I even posted side by side comparison pics.

ok, it's been a while since I've used a stock LCA in the rear. LCAs with the sway bar nub do have the bend. (SI, DC2)
At least the three sets that I've held in my hands have it.
