Now hiring: Well-informed swap mechanic
Paying $500 (possibly more depending on the amount of work) to whoever can come make my car run as it should. Currently im running a GSR swapped CRX with a p28. I was spitting the injector code, but i got rid of that, rechecked my wiring, changed a few things, and now im spitting the coolant sensor code. Currently it wont start, however i can get it to turn over. The fuel seems to be stopping at the fuel rail, and im not so sure on the spark i'm getting. The head was just rebuilt and put on the black at a machine shop, and my injectors were just cleaned so i'm at a loss. It also has a new distributor and cap, so there isnt much else to be replaced....what i'm saying is, it's probably a few small fixes. Ill pay you when the job is done and i'm confident everything is running smooth. For someone who knows this stuff i'm guessing it would be maybe an hour or 2 of work...for all i know it could be some mixed up vacuum lines.
I live in green bay and i need someone to do this asap as due to some tight conditions i need another vehicle.

Have you done all the basics like check plugs for spark and to see if they have any gas on them when you take them out? Also if it was me I would double and triple check timing. Maybe you have already done these things, this is just where I would start.
Ok i checked the distributor, and came to find the complete distributor i ordered didnt have a rotor in it. I went and got a rotor for it from a different auto parts store. After running through all the checks im getting spark, and lighting up in a few cylinders, but it wont keep a rolling start. I checked timing on the cams, TDC w/distrubutor over and over and still no avail. The only thing that may be causing it would be the little vacuum controlled lever on the right hand side of the intake manifold that controls the air intake to each cylinder. I'm not sure which way this diaphragm is supposed to go, but i put it as it logically should be, so the air sucks into the vacuum controlled arm and not vise verse. I changed out the plug wires, triple and quad checked the distributor for plug wiring according to my manual. Could someone post up how the plugs should be wired on the dist? I'm at a loss here, and really confused. It's almost acting like its getting too much fuel... but i dont see how.
To answer your q's: Wiring was done by me. I used both the OBD0-OBD1 distributor and ECU harnesses from Rywire. There are only like 10 wires, and i'm not throwing any codes... I believe it is a Motormite distributor
