Default new headers and my car sounds like crap

well i just instaled some headers in my 96ex with a d15b the problem i'm noticing is that the car sounds like crap at low rpms i think its coming from the cat but i'm not sure thanks for the help

Did you install a donut gasket between the header and the cat?

Get under the car while it's running and feel around the collector. If there's a leak, you'll be able to feel it.

Make sure the gaskets are sealing, and that the 02 sensor plugs (if you're not using them all) have anti-seize on them and are torqued down good and hard.

yea it has all that are the bolts with the springs suppost to ba all compressed??????

Check your Chilton/Helms manual for the torque specs..

I think they are 44lbs & 22lbs, but not sure for which bolts, so I'd look up the torque specs.

and is every thing suppost to fit in oem because i hade to use a crow bar to get the bolts on

I didn't with my MG header + catback exhaust, but I guess fitment is diff. for each brand (by a lil bit)

umm im allittle scared to know how you had to use a crow bar for this install
