Another wack car stalled and wont start topic!!
Car: 95 eg hatch, stock d15 I/E
I did a search but i couldnt find anything definitive to my case. Yesterday i was driving about 35 mph and my engine just died out of no where. I managed to roll home safely but I cant figure out even where to start. EVERYTHING comes on, the radio, lights, sounds, and the car also cranks over but it never starts. I'm thinking it could be the alternator but I though alternators usually show signs such as stalling here and there but i may be wrong. AND its finals week, Im away from my home town, and im broke. Sucks huh? lol . Any advice would greatly be appriciated. Thanks in advance.

well if your car is cranking and not starting then you have 1 of 3 problems.... no fuel, no spark, or something is wrong with the timing....

if you have a spare spark plug just undo one of the wires and put another plug into it and leave it at an angle that you can see. then crank the motor a couple times and look for a spark
for timing take a rachet and turn the motor counter clock wise till you have it set to tdc and make sure everything lines up as it should (that meaning the cam gear is in the proper place and the timing belt lines up with the indicator on the block)
for fuel listen if your fuel pump primes when you turn the key to the on position.
