when i was running my turbo open downpipe, it sounded like an 18 wheeler. lots od whistling. now I don't get that at all. is there a reason or this. I would think the exhaust has something to do with it but I have a 3inch exhaust so flow isn't really a problem. it's a t3/t4 .57 trim, .63 A/R on a B16. even at higher rpm's i still can't hear it.

 

so you cant hear any whistling at all? i hear it a little...until the wg opens

ah yes, open dp...it was scary driving 20 miles to the exhaust shop like that

 

who cares about the whistle when the WG opens. keep animals and small children indoors when that baby opens up. hell no if i could I would have kept it open downpipe. I can barely hear the whistle at all. I know it whistles because it did without the exhaust. I have a resonator in place of the cat, another resonator downstream, and a turbo N1 muffler

i got the same turbo and i hear the turbo even with my open dumptube

 

what kind of exhaust do you have
