Default Put in my custom exhaust and magnaflow last night-

Last night me and my friends installed a custom 2 1/2" exhaust in my gs-r. No cat 2 1/2" flexpipe and all mandrels. Man exhaust really sucks to make. Cut each bend then trim to fit fairly even then weld. The exhaust goes into a 3" magnaflow muffler. very deep tone, some slight buzzing at 3500-4500 rpm. Very loud inside the car, although i do not have a tip on it as of yet. all the sound is going inside my rear bumper and drilling my brain!! Need to get a tip on this thing. May sell the magnaflow and go with something a little quiter. Well see after the tip and turbo go on next week.

the turbo might quiet down the exhaust tone a little bit

Putting the turbo will drop the noise level in half, and most of the time will get rid of the buzziness. I say stick with it for now, it will probably come out sounding decent

i dont remember the part number but the mufler is a magnaflow, alimunized 3" in/out. It is a LOT smaller than the stock muffler. I had to put it at a funny angle to make it come out at the right spot being a center in/out muffler. but i did get it for $65 so it was a good deal. I am sure it sill be much better with a 3" in to two 2.5" outlets and the turbo. jsut have to wait for road race engineering to ship the tip again.
