Default Does seafoam help take sludge away?

I'm about to change the oil in my civic and decided that maybe I should try a little seafoam in the oil a day before I change it. Questions is will it really work in taking some of the carbon and sludge buildup inside the head off and basically settle when I drain it into the oil pan? Has anyone had any experience with this or know's it will work good? I was thinking of taking a picture of inside of the head before and than a pic of it after to see the effects.

Yeah, but nothing really about my question. I've used it before in my cars but i'm asking specifically if it will clean up the head any if I had it in there for a day.

for the oil, ur susppose to put it in, drive for about 300-400 miles then change the oil.. it all should come out when u drain it. it does wonders. cleans out all the carbon on the values, and carbon in genral everywhere..

No ....

When you Seafoam a Honda, you put 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 into the intake manifold through the brake booster hose, and 1/3 directly in the crankcase through the head. You drive at about 4000-4500 RPM's until it stops smoking. Then you come home and change your oil and sparkplugs.

300-400 miles with oil full of carbon ...

That's how I do seafoam, in 1/3's distributed among the fuel tank, crankcase and brake booster.

U dont need to change the plugs......but seafoam reccomends 5oo miles of driving,I agree with changing oil asap, but u can keep the plugs unless they are fouling out.

It'll get up to operating temp while you're running the seafoam through the brake booster.

I add 1/3 to the fuel, 1/3 into the crankcase and feed the rest through the brake booster. Once it's done I change the oil and plugs.
