5w-30 is the correct wieght/thickness for your car. Get Mobil-1 full synthetic if you can.

If your car isn't burning oil, stick with 5w30

Yes.
Yes.
I'm curious to hear the explanations behind the intense anti-Pennzoil sentiment that seems to have turned up in this thread. I assume that with such strong statements, there surely must be some significant UOA results backing them...

I work at a oil change shop, and i see how pretty much every oil handles a certain amount of mileage. If you go 3k on any oil, you will be fine. BUT, if you go about 500 over the 3k mark, pennzoil turns into sludge/varnish **** the fastest. Most oils wont "gel..or sludge" up as bad as pennzoil from what i have seen. It also feels different than every other oil that i have encountered. When you get it on ur fingers, you can tell it isnt a slippery as other oils. It feels kind of gritty imo, but i may be wrong. Since i can afford mobil 1 full syn, thats what i use. I personally would stay as far away from pennzoil as possible. Its all personal preference.

I agree with the geling/sludging of Penzoil. They say it's a good quality oil but it's not. Stick with either Mobil1 or Castrol. Have you seen what Penzoil will do to you head? It tarnishes the **** out of it! Spend the extra couple of bucks, it won't hurt...

however, since your teg is not new, with high mileage, i wouldnt use it. it might causes oil leak, burn oil faster.
