Default New member - My EF hatch.

Well I'm new here and I just bought this 90 hatch std manual about a month ago. I have many plans for it and have been doing a lot of work to it since I bought it. Right now the only mods I have done are custom blackhoused bumper lenses and headlights, and Apexi WS2 catback (no pics of it on the car yet). I've also done a lot of maintinence/tuneup work to it but there's too much to list. My next step is to work on the suspension and brakes, then I will be swapping the engine.

Let me know what you think of it so far. *sorry I only have these two pics for now*

I got the idea from Cb7tuner.com There's a DIY on there which walks through the whole process. It's a really easy inexpensive mod that looks really good.

Here's the link: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/sh...e+diy

That DIY is for accords but it's basically the same process.

How is the beam pattern/light output with the headlights blacked out? I allways thought that would look good, but I figured it'd totally ruin the light output. Either way thats a fresh hatch, lookin good.

Now re-spray that front bumper with trim paint and you're all set...

Great lookin hatch. Your one of the first people I've heard in a long time to say your gonna work on the suspension before doing a motor swap...thats always good...need a good suspension to have a good car

your hatch reminds me of my old one and is every bit as clean good luck with the mods and keep her away from stray cars(my old one was totaled in a parking lot )

Wow, a lot of comments lol. Thanx.

Now to answer all of the questions lol.

I got her for $1500. I had a 1991 Accord with 93k and a 4 month old paint job(done by me) It didn't have any problems so I sold it for $2500 and used the money to buy this and the $1000 for the exhaust, and various other things such as tune-up stuff and to get it on the road.

The headlight output is great. It actually looks a lot better in my opinion, still gives out just as much light, except it does not give as much unwanted glare so it looks a lot "crisper" I suppose would be the word. The main thing is to just not paint the main reflector around the bulb and your all set.

The paint on the car I beleive is original in most areas, however some places it appears to have been re-painted. And the bumpers I do plan to spray to match the cars and the trim also will be sprayed black. I am not sure yet when I will be painting everything but probably not for a little bit.

And as far as doing suspension before the engine lol. I think it is a lot smarter to get the car more stable and stiff before making it faster. There's no point being fast if the car has all kinds of chassis roll around corners and over bumps.
