it just happend today. when i try to listen to my cds, it'll say "disc" in which it cant read the cd, so i change the cd and its doin the same thing...anyone ever have this kind of problem? its a 2002 rsx-s, if that helps anything. thanks alot!

 

I had an old civic that did the same thing - it eventually needed a new radio as they couldn't figure out why it was doing it. Good luck.

 

i've had this problem numerous times.. i just take the cd out and put it back in and works fine.

 

yea when mine does that, i jus turn it off and on real quick and it works again

 

my girlfriends had a similar problem, it could not eject the disc and eventually would not even play or change discs. So we got a new one off of ebay for like 60 or 80 bucks and installed it.

 

i had the same problem. it would make this purring/scratching noise like it was trying really hard to read the disc.

it juss fixed itself after a week or 2.. never had problem again.

 

try using a cd cleaner, i think that will help, maybe the lense is dirty.

 

Most of the time this problem occurred when I played burned cds.
