found mistake in helms manuel
well as some of u may know i have been here for the past four days figuring out this code.
it is a code 6
i have a hynes manuel and it says it is the ect sensor.
so i see the pic and it shows a sensor.
i go and take out the sensor and oil comes out i panic.
there is supposed to be water not oil right.
i double check and it has to be the ect is show right there.
i buy a new sensor still
then i check all my wiring all the way to the fire wall .
then i say expletive it ill wire it from the ecu.
i look up what color wires they are and all that.
i strip the wires they end up breaking.
then i start cutting and splicing. then i think the wires i am cutting are black ad blue.
then i go back to the haynes and try to figure this out.
i thought the green switch was the vtec oil pressure switch.
then i go to the vtec pic and its the same pic.
they took the same pic for both sensor.
so i quickly just unplug the vtec sensor plug it in to the ect sensor and the cel is gone.
what can i do before more people run into this can i sue for all the blood and tears.

i think you shouldnt do anything. im still not even sure who had the mistake, haynes or helms. no mention of helms except in your title, and no page number either. so i think your talking about haynes having the mistake with the photo.
i think all that wiring has confused you and its haynes that is wrong, since helms never shows actual photos of the part except in the eletrical troubleshooting manual. haynes does show photos of the parts.
helms does have torque specs being wrong, and break bleeding procedures.

This is why helms publishes corrections. They are like sticker type pages that you replace in your manual. Apply the sticky page over top of the inccorect one.

in my helms, on the valve lash adjustment there is a mistake as well.
it tells you to put cylinder 2 at TDC and adjust cylinder 4 clearances.
