Default Decent priced ITB airbox.

Now that the arrr is sort of running, I need to start putting on the final parts which one of them is some kind of filter for the throttle bodies. If anybody knows of a place that sells something like bellow, that would be awesome. At a good price would be nice also as I'd rather run a pair of stockings instead of paying 300 bux for a fiberglass box I could build if I had the time.

Here is something like i am looking for which is basicaly a blank back plate that I can cut holes to go outside the itb's but under the stacks. A box would rock as I could run a boxed filter or some kind of big filter like the one bellow. The ITB's are Jenvey's B16 1800cc and this is the kit that they sell (waiting for pricing from Hayward Perf.)

TWM has an airbox for their ITB's. With little fab work you should be able to get it to fit.

Nice find guys... I got an email back on the Jenvey filter ($255), which i'd like to go with so I don't lose throttle response (the box and tube to the filter might counter act the reason to have ITB's).

My question is, how much room is there between the head and the fire wall? I need about 6 inches from the throttle bodies (not including the horns) to the firewall to fit the filter. The itb bodies them selves are roughtly 5.5 to 6 inches.

Not helping you any, but have you thought about cutting your hood at the cowl to act as ram air?

When I was thinking about going with ITB's on the old motor I wanted to run a hood scoop like on an WRX STi.

Best pressure is at the cowl, not mid hood.

I'm not really a big fan of water shooting on my air filter This bitch will be driven the **** out of, including the drive to expo and other events.

I went ahead and ordered the Jenvey airfilter and backplate. Figured it was designed for it, so it would be the best thing to go with.

Thanks for all the help fellas, I'll get pictures of it installed once I get it.

Can you post the pictures?

Is there a decent posts of B-series ITB with hood scoops or cowl ram-air?
