You can read the sticky at the top of paint and body and it should help you.
But pretty much you need to skim coat the door.

skim coat block sand and correct sanding method (criss cross, X pattern)

never use your bare hands to sand you will put grooves, especially in a large panel like a door

Take an exacto knife and cut the factory seam sealer away from the door skin which sits on the side impact beam, with age the **** dries out and pulls the outer skin in and causes creases. Bondo after if need be, reseam it though or the skin will vibrate off the side impact beam.

I just got my car out of paint and the paint is FLAWLESS except for the doors where the crash beams are glued. They blocked it 3 times. I am thinking someone pressed to hard while blocking and got the high spots.

I think they blocked/primed/blocked/primed/blocked/primed. I still think the last time they blocked there was too much pressure applied.

Take the door down as much as you can untill ,it pretty flat ,then coat it again ,Im pretty sure your buddies built it up to much and that why it waved so much ,do you have any pics of the work done ???
