car is having an idling issue...checked the alternator, new battery and still when i sit at a light or parking spot whatever..if i sit idle the revs drop down to 500 and lower and lower..car doesn't stall out but it sounds like it wants to. motor shutters a little bit once it starts to drop too low. could this be TPS sensor?? alternator is running real strong even with lights, heat, and my stereo system running, new battery didn't solve problem. not too sure what it could be. any thoughts?

 

When i had this problem it ended up being my idle air control valve (located on the back of the intake manifold) How is you idle screw have you adjusted it..

 

nope, i haven't adjusted anything..don't really get the time to do ANYTHING to my car cause im always freakin workin. a little while ago though i was looking at the hose that goes to the IACV and it was collapsed a little bit so i actually cut an inch or so off of it and reconnected it and it wasn't collapsed anymore but i wonder if that is it now. il have to make time to check it out

 

If your idle screw isnt responding then you need to replace your IAC valve.
