It the whole torque convertor on there or just the drive plate? The small bolts that hold the torque convertor to the drive plate are only torqued to 9 ft lbs. You should be able to put a wrench on there and whack it with your palm (or a hammer) to break it loose.

If you're talking about the 12 point 17mm bolts holding on the drive plate, well you can either jam the plate using a screw driver or pry bar. Or you can find a small strap of metal, and secure one end using a transmission bolt through the block and a 10mm bolt and nut to secure it to the drive plate. This should jam it enough to remove the 17mm bolts, which are torqued to 54 ft lbs. If you've got access to air tools, an impact gun would make short work of it.

If you've already got a 5speed in your car, just re-use those flywheel bolts. You'll notice the flywheel is physically thicker than the drive plate from the auto, hence the MT bolts are longer (BE SURE TO USE MT BOLTS AS THE GUY ABOVE SAID). Once the flywheel is bolted up, you'll align the clutch disc and tighten down the pressure plate. At this point the 5speed tranny can be slid onto the motor and bolted in place.
