so here is the deal, the car has been sitting in my grandmas backyard for about two months. i come into town to sell it. i bought a new battery and nothing. no power is being supplied to the car. nothing works. the headlights wont even come on. any ideas? any input will be greatly appreciated

 

Sounds like a wiring issue, maybe a ground has rusted over, or become corroded. Nothing inside the car turns on at all?

nothing man just completely dead. i know it has too be a wiring issue i just dont know where to start. thanks man

 

I'd start with the grounds and the battery connectors.

Also check the main relay and the fuses.

main relays and fuses have been checked. i think im going to look at the grounds next. were are all the grounds located?

 

 

u should really check th fuse thats what happen to my friends eK also we spent 2 hour trying to figure out what happen and we relized it was the fuse

 

have you check the alternator????

You dont need an alternator to start the car. T_T

no see its not that. the problem is the car isnt getting power form the battery. the lights wont turn on the horn wont work, and the fuel pump doesnt prime. like i said i did check the main relays and fuses and they are all fine.

 

Almost the samething happened to me a couple months ago, I was ready to get off work and my car didn't start, nothing was working, I'd check pretty much everything and guess what, it was the ground wire that goes to the battery.

werd, thanks guys im about to goto my grandmas house and check it out.

 

nope didnt work. i blew the battery fuse. went and got another and blew it again. look all through the car and didnt find an obvious ground. who knows
