Default 1999 Prelude Code 8 TDC sensor?

Hey just checked the cel flashes on my sisters 99 prelude with the dohc vtec h22. It flashed 8 times so i checked the cel code list and it said 8 was TDC sensor but I wasnt sure if the code list is different for obd1 or obd2. I know on my B16 the sensor was in the distributor is it the same on the h22?

Thanks

John

Hey, did you make sure it was code 8 and not 80 (EGR related). I just got this code recently and thought it was code 8 initially too.

Yeah im pretty positive it was code 8 plus the car is in limp mode and wont go over 3 grand so I think its more than likely the TDC sensor? Has anyone changed one before? Is it a pain in the A$$?

rather than be a dick and ask how damn lazy you are that you couldnt find it ill tell you. look at the back drivers side of the block, right on the corner and follow down the ONLY electrical connection that goes into your timing belt cover. really man, if you had only looked even 1 time you would have found it. now you can figure out what needs to be done to get to it.
